Happy Corner

Good afternoon!

Well, I don't have a whole lot to share with you today, so I'll keep it pretty short. 

I'm still working on my March Afghan, (the green one I shared with you last post) , but I haven't gotten a lot more done at that. Each strip is taking a while, but they're a lot of fun to make! 

 

Now it's time for me to show you something kind of exciting.... I decided to reorganize all of my yarn! I have it all displayed in my room, along with most of my afghans! 

 

It makes me so happy! Plus I have my spinning wheel next to all of it....which adds a nice touch. This picture was taken before I added a third crate and more yarn....but I wanted you to see my pretty wheel next to my yarn and chair :)

 

As I said, because I don't have much to show you, I'm keeping this post short. But  I'll leave you with a sneak peak at my next afghan...just some yarn I ordered from Deramores.com... the colors areBEAUTIFUL and the yarn is soft and amazing. I can't wait to work with it!

Getting Back to Blogging

Hello!

Has it really been 2 years since updating my blog regularly!? Wow. I really hope to change that! From here on out, my plan is to update you every Wednesday!

Alright, well.... I am currently crocheting an..... AFGHAN! Surprise! Or, not surprise...haha

I'm learning to accept the fact that afghans are my thing, they're my favorite to crochet. I absolutely love picking out my pattern, choosing my colors, and spending hours upon hours crocheting them!

My current afghan is out of my favorite book, "A Year of Afghans, 1997".... I have made many of the afghans out of this book and love each of them. I'm making one of the June afghans right now, it's HUGE. So much bigger than I thought it'd be! Haha! 

 

Getting back into 'afghan mode' has been wonderful. 

 

We've had a lot of cold and snowy days, which means my days are able to be filled with coffee and crocheting! 

 

Oh! And... I also purchased a new crochet hook case! It's AMAZING!! 

 

It has a spot for everything....my crochet hooks....

 

My 'afghan planning' colored pencils....

 

My stitch markers, yarn needles, and scissors....

 

And....my steel crochet hooks, tape measure, and row counter! 

 

All my 'tools' in one place....so perfect!!
